Step 1 Lead-in

1. Ask questions about the favourite pets.

2. Organize the students to say something about their favourite pets.

3. Talk about goldfish.


Step 2 Presentation

1. Ask the students some questions about goldfish.

2. Play the tape. Ask the students to get some useful information to finish ‘true or false’ exercises.

3. Give some models about the usage of‘ should(not)\must(not),explain the differences between them.

4. Check the answers on page 102.

5. Help the students to show their talk.

Step 3 Practice

1. Play the tape for A3 on page 103.

2. Help the students to show their answers.

Step 4

Speak up

1. Play the tape. Show questions on the blackboard.

2. Sum up how to talk about pets.

Step 5

Class exercises

1. Give out a list of class exercises.

2. Ask the students to do them and check them in class.

Step6 Homework

1. Listen, imitate and recite the conversation.

2. Write a short passage about your favourite pet.

根据英语录音资料,精心设计听力训练程序,在有效地培养学生听力的同时,传授一定的语言知识,使学生从被动听的过程变为主动索取的过程。且充分考虑学生的认知规律,由易到难,自浅入深,科学定位,有序训练,极大调动了学生学习英语的兴趣,让学生在轻松、愉快的氛围中既学习了新的语言知识, 又完成了既定的检测任务,提高了综合运用语言能力。
